Where does the Evolution Reef Cruise depart from?
Check in starts from 7:15am at the Down Under Dive counter located inside the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. The Evolution yacht is located at A Finger, Cairns Marlin Marina and departs at 8am sharp.
Are special dietary requirements catered for?
Evolution and Billy Tea Safaris can cater to guests with vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free diets. Please advise reservations of your special dietary requirement at the time of booking or at least 48 hours prior to travel.
Lunch in Kuranda is at your own expense, so you will need to discuss that with the restaurant where you choose to eat.
How long will it take to get to the outer reef?
The journey takes about 90 minutes to reach the Outer Reef location from Cairns. Evolution is one of the fastest boat trips to the Outer Reef giving you 5 hours of snorkelling and scuba diving at 2 Outer Reef Sites.
Are these tours accessibility friendly?
Evolution can accommodate guests with limited mobility, but it is advised to speak to staff when inquiring to ensure if the crew can meet your specific needs.
Billy Tea Safaris passengers will be required to have a good level of mobility to navigate the stairs by themselves, or with the assistance of a personal carer. Wheelchairs must be small, compact and collapsible as space is limited. If unsure, please check with resevations at the time of booking.
Both the Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway cater for wheelchair and mobility impaired guests.
Do the tours need to be on consecutive days?
No, multi-day tours do not need to be consecutive. As we are operating different days for different tours, they may not be able to be consecutive either. Please contact our team to discuss your preferred dates!
Are meals included?
Lunch and snacks are included on your Great Barrier Reef day tour on Evolutions, and on the Billy Tea Safaris tour.
For the Kuranda tour, lunch is at your own expense. There are lots of cafes where you can purchase food in Kuranda!
What can we do in Kuranda?
