From the 16th to 18th of July 2025, the annual Cairns Show will return to the Cairns Showgrounds with an exciting display of the region’s most vibrant agriculture, arts, competitions and community events. Over three days, the Show will bring thousands of people from across Far North Queensland to enjoy the diverse mix of attractions, unique experiences, stalls and entertainment for all ages.

What Date Is The Cairns Show Public Holiday?

Friday the 18th July 2025 is a regional public holiday to celebrate the Cairns Show.  This public holiday allows Cairns locals to take a break and immerse themselves in the fun and festivities. Families and friends can come together to enjoy the wide range of performances, activities and attractions the event has on display.


Can You Buy Cairns Show Tickets At The Gate?

Tickets for the Cairns Show can be purchased at the gate on the days of the event. For those who prefer to plan ahead, tickets are also presold online through the Cairns Show website. Options include single-day passes or memberships, with early bird discounts and family packages providing extra savings and help avoid the long queues.

One Day Single Entry 

  • Adult - $27 Presold | $30 At the gate
  • Child - $15 Presold | $16 At the gate
  • Pension/Concession - $23 Presold | $24 At the gate
  • Family (2A+2C) - $70 Presold | $75 At the gate
  • Infant (5 and under) - Free

Free Things To Do At The Cairns Show

There's no shortage of free things to see and do at the Cairns Show that offers a variety of activities and entertainment for visitors big and small. Over The Bridge on Quigley Street, you'll find dog shows, floral beard competitions, animal pavilions, and cultural Bush Tukka gardens, crafts and many more interesting attractions. The Fig Tree Stage plays host to a stream of free family friendly live shows, music and performances throughout the three day itinerary. And of course, frequent events run in the Main Arena throughout the day all the way up until the final fireworks display each evening.

The Cairns Show includes a variety of thrilling activities and performances designed to entertain and engage all ages. From equestrian shows and animal parades, to exciting woodchopping, pole climbing and scarecrow contents, along with fun games and vibrant fireworks displays, Cairns Show 2025 promises a memorable experience for everyone.

Exhibitions

The exhibitions at the Cairns Show showcase the best individuals, businesses, and community members of the region. Highlighting the traditional agricultural, mining, and industrial heritage of Tropical North Queensland, locals will be at the Cairns Showgrounds to inspire and educate visitors. 

Exhibitors will be set up inside the Fred Moule Exhibition Centre or outside around the Cairns Showgrounds. Browse through the tents and stands to check out local artwork, souvenirs, and products. This is a great way to connect with local vendors and enjoy face to face contact with the top sellers and innovators of the area.

Throughout the Cairns Showgrounds, visitors can have a blast at the different games and entertainment. With multiple stages and parks, you can wander around and see events like dog shows, equestrian events, motocross displays, fireworks, live music, and arcade games. The night wraps up with an epic fireworks show as well!
