What Is A Scuba-doo?
What Is A Scuba-Doo?
A scuba-doo is an underwater scooter with a built-in helmet that allows you to cruise among the corals and immerse yourself in the reef! This fun, new technology allows the non-swimmers and reluctant scuba divers the chance to get beneath the ocean and experience what it's like to live amongst the fishes! It’s an upright scooter that has it’s own oxygen airflow, allowing you to enjoy the underwater world in comfort with a guide. You won't go any deeper than about 3 metres from the surface.
How Does The Scuba-Doo Work?
Those wishing to try the Scuba-Doo may be wondering "How does it work?". In a way, you are like your own personal submarine, propelled by the power of the scooter, looking at the world from inside your bubble helmet! This is an easier alternative to a breathing apparatus and snorkel mask, leaving your face and hair dry as you breathe normally inside your air bubble. There is air flowing into the bubble that will allow you to breathe normally, meaning you need no scuba diving experience to enjoy this fun activity.
A crew member who is geared up in scuba diving gear will guide you around the reef, trailing behind you, steering you around! You don’t have free reign with your scooter, but instead, have the gently guiding hand of a reef expert. This way, you can enjoy a 180-degree view of the reef, taking it all in as you make your way around. So sit up, relax, and enjoy the ride on your Scuba-Doo!
