Are accommodation transfers offered?
Yes, courtesy transfers are available from Cairns City accommodations! Please contact Oceanquest at 07 4046 7333 to arrange.
Where does the boat depart?
Oceanquest departs from the Cairns Marlin Marina. Please check in by 7:30 am on board the vessel.
Are food and drinks provided?
Yes, throughout your liveaboard all meals as well as tea, coffee, and water are provided. There is a bar to purchase extra snacks and beverages if you wish.
Can we hire a dive guide?
Yes, dive guides are available to pre-book for $20 per person, per dive.
What type of accommodation is there onboard?
The liveaboard offers three types of rooms; a double share, a twin share, and a quad share, ensuring there are options for all group sizes!
Is night diving offered?
Night dives are offered for certified divers! There is a shark in the dark experience so you can see the reef from a new perspective, and torches are provided. You can also upgrade to a Fluoro night dive, which is available to purchase onboard the boat.
Are there any minimum age requirements?
There is no minimum age restriction for travelling on vessels when accompanied by a parent or guardian, but children must remain supervised at all times if they are not undertaking a course. Snorkellers must be over age 4 and intro divers must be over age 12.

Important Information
- Please note divers may be subject to a medical questionnaire before they are able to dive. Please click here for more diving information and to read the medical questionnaire.
- Introductory diving: 12 years or over
- Children: The child snorkel age is 4-14. There is no minimum age restriction for travelling on vessels when accompanied by a parent or guardian, but children must remain supervised at all times if they are not undertaking a course.
DAY 1: Cancellation for any reason, including Failed Medicals, incurs an AUD$200 cancellation fee.
DAY 2 ONWARDS: No refund will be given, however, customers will be provided the option to switch to a different activity (i.e. snorkelling) to the value of the course costs already paid. No refunds will be issued for any remaining balances.
Cancellations
No shows or client cancellations made within 48 hours of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price.
Group Bookings (6 or more people)
- Cancellation between 60 and 31 days prior to departure: 25% cancellation fee
- Cancellation within 30 days prior to departure: 100% cancellation
A refund in the event of cancellation is subject to both our Cancellation Policy and the terms of the supplier.
