Cape Tribulation, Daintree Rainforest
Cape Tribulation is a popular tourist destination in Northern Queensland, Australia. It is a coastal area located within the Daintree Rainforest, with both beautiful forests and beaches within its borders. Cape Tribulation is so special because it is right at the crossroads of two World Heritage Sites: The Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.
Great Barrier Reef
Cape Tribulation is located right on the shores of the spectacular Great Barrier Reef. As the world's largest coral reef system, this extensive coral reef is home to so many unique marine species and underwater ecosystems. Travelers love to go snorkeling and scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. You can also book scenic flights over the reef and see the magnificent natural wonder from the air! Most Great Barrier Reef boat tours leave from Port Douglas or Cairns, but you can book tours in Cape Tribulation when you arrive as well.
Daintree Rainforest
Cape Tribulation is nestled right in the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rainforest on the planet! At 180 million years old, approximately, this dense tropical rainforest is home to exotic plants and animals, as well as breathtaking landscapes.
Cape Tribulation is a largely untouched area within the rainforest, and it's an ideal destination for those who love to explore the outdoors. While its popularity increases every year, Cape Tribulation has always been an escape away from the ordinary and a secluded place to enjoy a tropical getaway.
It has an abundance of activities that suit any type of traveller, including ziplining, horseback riding, diving, snorkelling, hiking, and relaxing. All of these activities can be enjoyed during guided tours from Cairns or Port Douglas, or on self-drive tours.
