Learn the lore of the land from its Traditional Owners and meet local wildlife on this epic rainforest adventure!

  • Get a taste of authentic Aboriginal culture as local Pamagirri Guides introduce you to their customs, traditions, dances and Dreamtime stories
  • Traverse through rainforest, mudflats and croc-infested creeks on an amphibious WWII Army Duck
  • Catch your breath in the idyllic township of Kuranda while you have lunch
  • Get up close and personal with all things Aussie at the Koala and Wildlife Park, from the cuddly to the creepy
  • Cool down and rehydrate at the Tropical Fruit Orchard as you sample the luscious fruits, ice creams and juices from local farms

Embark on a journey deep into the rainforest and immerse yourselves in the ancient history and culture of the local Indigenous peoples. Listen to the wisdom of the Pamagirri Guides as they share their lore with you on a tour down the Rainbow Serpent Dreamtime Walk, show you how to throw a boomerang like a pro, and demonstrate traditional practices like spear throwing, playing the didgeridoo, and cultural dances.

Afterwards, stop by an Indigenous-led gallery for a hands-on workshop on the relationship between art and traditional stories. Put your creativity to the test as your guide helps you create your own authentic Aboriginal painting or boomerang!

When it's time to get down and dirty with the local wildlife, you'll be escorted to a heritage Army Duck vehicle that dates back to WWII for a thrilling adventure through croc-infested waters to the wild heart of the rainforest. Later on you'll get the chance for up close and personal encounters with koalas, kangaroos and tropical birds (and more!) at the Koala and Wildlife Park.

Visit the Tropical Fruit Orchard to sample some of Queensland's freshest exports, stop for lunch in the charming town of Kuranda, and add on an optional, visually spellbinding one way ride on either the Kuranda Scenic Railway or the Kuranda Rainforest Skyrail!

Highlights:

  • Pamagirri Aboriginal experience, with demonstrations of spear and boomerang throwing and didgeridoo and dance performances
  • Pamagirri rainforest walkabout
  • Aboriginal canvas art workshop
  • Koala and Wildlife Park
