Overview
Earn your PADI Advanced Open Water during your stay with OceanQuest. Spend the night at our Outer Reef Boat, OceanQuest, and spend your time curbing your diving skills and earning your open water certification alongside our experienced and fun staff. Enjoy the onboard bar after you're done diving for the day, and sit on the back deck and enjoy a relaxing night at sea. With large, comfortable rooms, you'll feel at home as you explore the Great Barrier Reef and discover its natural beauty and wonder. As you enjoy your advanced training dives, you'll get to scuba dive in a whole new way, doing a deep dive, a night dive and more.

You'll spend your first day on board our transfer vessel, getting to do 1 fun dive before moving onto our overnight boat to begin your training dives. Important Information
DAY 1: Cancellation for any reason, including Failed Medicals, incurs an AUD$200 cancellation fee.
DAY 2 ONWARDS: No refund will be given, however, customers will be provided the option to switch to a different activity (i.e. snorkelling) to the value of the course costs already paid. No refunds will be issued for any remaining balances.
Day trip course schedules can NOT be altered.

Cancellations
All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 48 hours of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price.
Group Bookings (6 or more people)
- Cancellation between 60 and 31 days prior to departure: 25% cancellation fee
- Cancellation within 30 days prior to departure: 100% cancellation
A refund in the event of cancellation is subject to both our Cancellation Policy and the terms of the supplier.

What is the minimum age requirement for this course?
Minimum age is 12 years old.
Are special dietary requirements catered for?
Meals on board OceanQuest are chef-prepared. Please advise at the time of booking so staff can cater to most dietary requests. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Are transfers included from my accommodation?
Yes, complimentary accommodation transfers are available on overnight dive courses and overnight trips to and from selected Cairns CBD hotels.
I have a non-PADI certification, is this okay?
In most cases it is, but please contact us so we can be sure. Let us know your certifying agency, certification level and approximate number of dives.
Do I need a dive medical?
All divers are asked to complete a medical questionnaire on board. You don’t require a medical if you answer no to everything and are under 45 years of age. If you are over 45, or answer yes to any questions, a further medical will be required. You will also be asked to fill out a general disclaimer which differs from company to company.
