Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an impressive array of marine life and coral species.
After a fast 25 minute ride, guests are ready to swim with turtles and snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and Undine Reefs. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, and you can marvel at the location where two World Heritage Sites meet!

This half day eco tour visits two snorkel sites including Mackay Reef and Mackay Cay, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. Often the coastal rainforest of the Daintree can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, two world heritage areas side by side.
On most days, you can snorkel alongside sea turtles, which are found in abundance swimming over reefs full of colourful coral, along with myriads of tropical fish, eagle rays, giant clams and starfish. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime.
Please note, itineraries and snorkel sites may vary day to day depending on weather and tides.

Cancellations after 3pm the night before departure will forfeit 100% of the ticket price.
A refund in the event of cancellation is subject to both our Cancellation Policy and the terms of the supplier.

Where and when is check-in?
Check in and meeting point is the Turtle Rock Cafe in Cape Tribulation at 7:45am.
Is accommodation pick-up offered?
Yes, courtesy transfers are available from accommodations in Cape Tribulation.
Can we bring cameras onboard to take photos?
You are welcome to bring any devices to take photos on your tour. We recommend having a waterproof case or tupperware container to prevent anything from getting wet. Ocean Safari takes no responsibility for items lost or damaged during the day.
Is there a toilet onboard?
Yes, there is a toilet on board which can be used when the boat is stationary. There is also a toilet at our check-in office.
Are drinks available?
Water, soft drinks, beer, wine and cider can be purchased on board. You can also bring your own water or soft drinks, however there is a strict no BYO alcohol policy.
Is food available on Ocean Safari?
Chocolate bars are available for purchase onboard. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks, or purchase food from the Turtle Rock Cafe before or after your tour.
Are prescription masks available?
If you need a prescription snorkelling mask, you can hire one for $20. Please organise this at check in before you board, as the prescription masks are not stored on the boat.
