Your first stop of the day is Mossman Gorge. Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, the gorge is a magical location for a refreshing swim. Be sure to bring along your swimmers so you can hop in and enjoy the cool waters. The clear mountain river cuts through thick rainforest and tumbles over boulders on its journey to the sea; you're bound to be impressed by the sights, sounds and refreshment of this awesome location.

Daintree National Park

After the Gorge, it's time to head further North. You'll cross the mighty Daintree River on a cable ferry, and enter the Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree National Park. Here the scenery really begins to change... You will get to experience the narrowing road as the trees get larger and tower over you as you head into the ancient Gondwana Rainforest.

Alexandra Range Lookout
Next is the Alexandra Range Lookout, which gives you a spectacular bird's eye view of the surrounding area including Daintree River, Port Douglas and on a clear day, landmarks as far south as Cairns.

Marrdja or Jindalba Boardwalk
After the lookout, you will experience the Marrdja or Jindalba Boardwalk. Here we see trees that have been caught in a time capsule - they haven't changed in millions of years. As you pass through the ancient rainforest, the Marrdja Boardwalk leads you over a complex mangrove swamp system.

Cape Tribulation Beach
Next is time for a picnic lunch at beautiful Cape Trib Beach (weather permitting). After lunch, take a walk on the stunning beach and marvel at the beauty of the Rainforest meeting the Reef. You'll then head back towards the Daintree River, stopping at the Daintree Ice Cream Company to give you a chance to buy a tropical fruit ice-cream, delicious!

River Cruise
Next up is the river cruise where you can croc spot! Your crocodile and wildlife spotting adventure on the Daintree River takes you through the domain of the large saltwater crocodiles. You'll be safe from these gigantic animals as you cruise through their territory, keeping an eye out for the plethora of wildlife that lives here. Keep an eye out for egrets, pythons, tree snakes, butterflies, birds and more!

Rex Range Lookout
On your way home, visit the picturesque township of Port Douglas, where a youll stop at Rex Range Lookout before arriving back in Cairns after an exciting day at about 6.30pm.
